Divorce is a life-changing and often stressful experience which has an added layer of complexity when minor children are involved. We strive to ensure all parties feel heard while working through any conflicts that may arise during the divorce planning process. We understand if one, or both individuals feels unheard or experiences a sense of unfairness during the process, the results could lead to frustration and resentment instead of an amicable closure. Our goal is to make the process a safe “workshop” where you and your ex-partner achieve agreed upon resolutions in a respectful manner while keeping overall costs down.
In many cases, couples need help with the division of marital property as it can be difficult making financial resolutions. We understand additional guidance or another perspective is often needed in order to achieve results when it comes time to make financial division decisions. As your mediator, we will stick to our core values of letting our clients steer the conversation, however, if needed, we will provide direction and offer ideas to help participants come to an agreement.
Decisions made pertaining to child custody, parenting plans, and child support are often the most challenging and difficult conversations to have during the divorce decision making process. We recognize the emotional and sensitive nature of this topic. Our goal is to offer a neutral and safe environment for each co-parent to share their wishes and perspectives to achieve an agreed upon parenting plan that considers the needs of each family member.
In many cases, divorced couples with minor children end up back in mediation and/or court at least once prior to their children turning 18 to resolve parenting related conflicts. In an effort to avoid costly court costs, we offer co-parenting coaching and support, including check-in sessions at a reduced rate to help clients get adjusted to their new co-parenting partner roles and/or resolve any conflicts that may arise following their divorce.
The co-parenting check-in sessions enable current clients to meet with a mediator to discuss any topics they see fit such as, parenting time schedules, financial/child support issues, co-parenting decision making concerns, etc. Our goal is to offer a supportive and safe environment to discuss the challenges frequently encountered as separated co-parents.
